Company History
Founded in April 1988, Stagecoach is a performing arts school for under 18’s. The business was first established in Richmond, Redhill and Woking in the south of England as a leading drama school. Five years later in 1993, the business had expanded to an impressive 24 schools across the UK. From the success of this, Stagecoach Performing Arts entered the world of franchising to accommodate their rapidly expanding business.
Another 8 years later in 2001, the franchising arm of the business was established and growing year on year. At this time, Stagecoach Performing Arts was doing so well they received a total £3 million investment on the Alternative Investment Market.
Over the years, this business has continued to grow and thrive. Nowadays there are over 600 franchised Stagecoach schools nationwide. From this ever growing success, the company decided to take the leap and expand internationally. Now, you can find Stagecoach schools in:

The concept of Stagecoach Performing Arts was to offer skill development in dance, drama and singing to a younger audience of 4 to 18 year olds. These skills are developed by specialists in each of these areas. Stagecoach classes are split into 3 groups depending on each child’s age. Then each of these classes will spend an hour developing each skill.
Stagecoach classes only run during term time to ensure each child’s regular commitment as bi-annual performances are put on to display the young actors progressing skills twice a year. The company also offers ‘early stages’ classes to children 4-6 years of age, to begin building their confidence.
